CD Projekt Red has turned one of Cyberpunk 2077’s most recognisable Iconic weapons into a real, physical object. The Cyberpunk 2077 Valentino Thermal Katana replica went up for pre-order on June 9, 2026, through the Official CD Projekt Red Gear Store, built in partnership with prop manufacturer ZiNG and distributed by DPI Merchandising. It is a 47-inch, 1:1 scale version of the Thermal Katana (in-game name: Errata), recoloured in the burnt-orange and gold associated with the Valentinos, the Heywood-based gang that carries the blade in Night City.
Before the gear ever reached a store page, it existed as a Tier 5 Iconic melee weapon added to the base game with Update 2.0 in September 2023. Players who want the in-game original can obtain it in Night City’s Santo Domingo district, inside an abandoned Electric Corporation building near the Republic East fast-travel point, during the Disasterpiece job or by revisiting the location through alternate access routes.

In Night City lore, the Valentinos are the gang most associated with the blade’s gold-and-orange colour scheme; the CD Projekt Red product listing describes them as a community built around loyalty and family ties beneath a rough exterior, with the katana’s redesign meant to reflect that identity. The original in-game version, sold under the name Errata, can also be bought from a black-market vendor in the Phantom Liberty expansion’s Dogtown district for a steep in-game price, or found for free elsewhere in the base map.
The replica itself is not the first prop weapon CD Projekt Red has put out for Cyberpunk 2077; it follows a string of merchandise tied to the game’s large global player community. For background on how the wider Night City product line and game support have evolved, see The Game Tribune’s coverage of Overwatch Season 3, which covers a separate live-service title navigating its own post-launch content cycle.
2026 has been a dense year for major releases sitting alongside this kind of merchandise push. The Game Tribune’s June 2026 PS Plus catalog roundup covers some of what’s currently available to play, while Pearl Abyss’s open-world RPG Crimson Desert and IO Interactive’s 007 First Light have both shipped this year. 007 First Light, built by the Hitman studio, launched on May 27, 2026, and posted IO Interactive’s fastest first-day sales on record, with reviewers giving it some of the highest scores in the James Bond game series’ history.
Cyberpunk 2077 itself continues to pick up new collaborations rather than full expansions. The most recent is a crossover with Wuthering Waves, the Kuro Games gacha RPG, which added Cyberpunk: Edgerunners characters Lucy and Rebecca as playable Resonators when Wuthering Waves Version 3.4 went live on June 8, 2026. Lucy joined on a limited paid banner, while Rebecca is obtainable for free through an in-game login event running alongside the crossover. The collaboration’s new zone is built from Lucy’s memories rather than being a direct recreation of Night City itself. The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime has also been confirmed for a second season by CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, with no release date announced yet. For details on a separate exotic weapon and seasonal content cycle, see The Game Tribune’s Destiny 2 Monument of Triumph coverage.
CD Projekt Red’s own next mainline Cyberpunk project, the sequel known as Project Orion, remains in early development with no release window confirmed. The studio’s nearer-term priorities include further support for The Witcher 3 and the in-development Witcher 4. Readers tracking other platform and hardware stories can also check The Game Tribune’s report on the Black Ops and Black Ops 2 PlayStation ports arriving in July 2026.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Valentino Thermal Katana replica’s pre-order window, pricing, and shipping restrictions were covered above, along with how the design connects to the in-game Errata weapon added in Update 2.0 and the Valentinos-inspired redesign. The piece also noted the current state of the Wuthering Waves crossover and other 2026 releases running alongside this merchandise drop.
