Two Mythics — Fire and Steel

Ascendant Phoenix Illari — A four-tier Mythic hero skin built around the phoenix rebirth concept. Each tier adds evolving wings (traditional phoenix or celestial), new colorways (blue, green, gold), and blazing visual effects. Tier 4 is Illari’s final form with full flame VFX. Earn up to 80 Mythic Prisms through the Battle Pass to unlock either Mythic.

Tokyo Rebel Hanzo — A Mythic weapon skin for Hanzo’s bow. Fuses traditional ronin aesthetics with neon-cyber visuals. Holographic dragons evolve with takedown streaks, a custom flourish animation plays on every draw, and a unique kill effect marks every elimination.

  • Battle Pass includes Legendary skins: Summer Festival Sombra, Summer Festival Freja, Matsuri Junkrat, Vigilante Genji, Street Rebel Lúcio.
  • Ultimate Battle Pass adds Cyber Biker Shion and Cowpunk Cassidy.

Community Crafted — June 30 to July 13

Four creators — Guxue, Ocie, Apply, and mL7support — each worked directly with Blizzard’s Hero team to prototype gameplay changes for specific heroes. This is a two-week live experiment, not a balance patch.

  • Guxue × Reinhardt: Heavier brawler focus, more rewards for aggressive hammer play.
  • mL7support × Baptiste: Immortality Field becomes his Ultimate; Amplification Matrix gets repositioned as a flexible tactical tool.
  • Apply × Ashe: B.O.B. gets a larger battlefield presence; setup and combo play rewarded.
  • Ocie × Sombra: Restores her dive flanker identity; more interactive counterplay around Hack.

Community Crafted runs alongside the regular Season 3 patch from June 30 – July 13.

Stadium — Major Roster Refresh

Season 3 brings a wide Stadium update, with larger reworks for Hazard, Tracer, Kiriko, Sojourn, and Doomfist, among others. Grouping Restrictions for Ranked are also removed this season. Check other live service updates across the industry for context on how frequent these kinds of reworks have become.
