The Starr Nova Event Is Live — Here’s Everything You Can Earn

Brawl Stars Season 50, called Starr Patrol, began on May 7, 2026. Alongside it, Supercell launched the Starr Nova event — a four-week, community-wide effort where every player has their own personal Void Master Finx boss to chip away at. Deal enough damage to Finx across the season and you walk away with his Void Master Finx skin, completely free. The Brawl Pass also brings 60 tiers of rewards, skin sets for Spike and Colette, and a new key-and-vault system. How the Nova Drops Engine Works
Nova Drops are the event’s core currency. You earn them from Daily Wins, Mega Quests, and Boss fights. Every drop carries a 40% chance of a Starr Patrol power-up — pushing a transformation’s level from 11 up toward 30. Every time a Starr Patrol levels up, that brawler launches an attack on your personal Void Master Finx health bar. That’s the key mechanic: your progress is individual, not shared.
According to the Brawl Stars Fandom wiki, players need a total of 3,652 damage to defeat Finx. Each Nova Drop deals 30 base damage, with bonus damage added whenever a level-up occurs. Free-to-play players who are active daily can earn roughly 125 Nova Drops across the season — enough to clear the boss and unlock the skin. Owning the minimum 100 Nova Drops is the benchmark to reach.
Drops also contain coins, power points, bling, gadgets, star powers, hypercharges, and cosmetics. Skin prizes inside drops range from 79 to 299 Gems, and brawlers from Epic to Legendary rarity can appear. Jackpot rewards like 100 Gems or 1,000 coins are also in the pool. If you play across multiple titles, Red Dead Online also has a live bonus rewards period active in May 2026.

Boss Fights: 5v1 Encounters
Two bosses. One escalating challenge. Speedrun scores for the competitive crowd. Boss-style encounters are becoming a trend across games — Assassin’s Creed Codename Invictus also ran a multiplayer playtest this April.
Colette spawns dark book nests across the arena. Let them sit too long and a swarm of mini Void Colettes floods the map. Five players, one objective: destroy the nests before numbers overwhelm the squad.
5v1 Boss FightDefeat Finx once and he returns stronger as Evil Boss Finx — a full two-phase encounter. Phase two brings Kit clones and a central tower that alternates between helping and damaging your team.

Season 50 Brawl Pass — Tier Breakdown
Season 50 runs three pass tiers. The Free Pass delivers 60 tiers including 3,600 Power Points, 12,500 Coins, 1,400 Credits, 2 Mega Boxes, 6 Chaos Drops, 1 Legendary Starr Drop, a Resource Key, and Starr Drops of varying rarities. The Brawl Pass at $8.99 adds 9,500 more Coins, 2,500 Power Points, 2,500 Credits, 50 Gems, a Pin Set, Player Icon, Spray, and a Skin Key — use it to unlock either the Starr Patrol Spike set or the Void Colette set from the new Vault. The Brawl Pass Plus at $9.99 goes further with 12,500 Coins, 400 Power Points, 150 Gems, duplicate keys, a Buffie Key, and an instant 20% season progress boost. All skins are now unlocked via the Vault using Keys rather than being direct tier rewards. At Tier 60, you earn 2,800 XP per session to keep opening Angelic Drops and other resources. Free Smash Sprays & Compensation Gifts
On May 7, 2026 — the same day Season 50 launched — Supercell began distributing free Smash Sprays and resource rewards to players to compensate for recent technical bugs and gameplay issues. The distribution was coordinated through content creators and the Supercell Store. Creator @BrawlNetworkX confirmed the Smash Spray distribution on X.
A separate free Resource Key was also available to players who purchased the current season’s Brawl Pass Plus via the official Supercell Store. Community reaction to the compensation was mixed — some players felt a Resource Key was too modest a gesture. One player publicly commented: “too greedy” — referring to the decision to offer a Resource Key rather than a Buffie Key. The split response followed several weeks of software update frustration in the player base.
