Ubisoft is preparing to release up to ten major games in 2026 and 2027, according to information leaked by industry insider Tom Henderson through his Insider Gaming website. The leaked roadmap features new entries in popular franchises alongside remakes of classic titles and fresh intellectual properties.
The French game publisher’s planned releases include several highly anticipated sequels. Project Hexe, the next mainline Assassin’s Creed game, reportedly takes a darker approach with a medieval setting focused on witch hunts. Project Ovr will continue the Ghost Recon tactical shooter series, while Project Blackbird represents the next mainline Far Cry title.
Remakes feature prominently in Ubisoft’s plans. Project North is the long-awaited Splinter Cell remake, Project Rewind revives the Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, and Project Obsidian will modernize the fan-favorite Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. A Rayman remake, codenamed Project Steambot, is reportedly targeting late 2026, with development “going incredibly well,” according to Henderson’s sources.
The leaked slate also includes fresh concepts. Project Alterra is described as an “Animal Crossing-esque” life simulation game, while Project Crest is a World War II-themed extraction shooter. Another extraction-based shooter set in the Far Cry universe, Project Maverick, is listed with a note that it might face cancellation.
