Star Citizen IAE 2954: Over 100 Flyable Ships, Daily Showcases, and the First-Ever Polaris—Alpha 3.24.3 Brings New Ships and Free Access Starting November 22!

Star Citizen’s Intergalactic Aerospace Expo hits New Babbage from November 22 through December 5, 2024. Alpha 3.24.3 launches alongside IAE 2954, bringing two major additions to the game: the MISC Starlancer MAX cargo hauler and the RSI Polaris capital ship.

The expo takes place across New Babbage’s APEX and ZENITH halls, with manufacturers rotating daily. Crusader Industries and Tumbril open the show November 22-23, followed by Aegis Dynamics, then the alien manufacturers – GATAC, AOPOA, BANU, and ESPERIA. RSI, Argo, Drake, Origin, and others follow through the schedule, with Best in Show running December 1-2 before the December 3-5 finale.

John Crew says this holds up to you know 1,000 SE of cargo. PTU data suggests an unannounced Anvil concept ship may appear during the finale.

The IAE’s history stretches back to 2670 on Castor, where Audrey Timmerman showcased the experimental Poby ship. A tragic demonstration accident in 2701 resulted in 15 fatalities, leading to stricter safety protocols. The expo introduced memorable vessels like the RSI Constellation in 2712. After the “Asura Incident” of 2913 exposed logistical problems, organizers sought a permanent venue.

Each manufacturer’s showcase includes free ship rentals during their exhibition window, Warbond editions, limited-edition paint schemes, and manufacturer-specific weapons and armor displays. Players can access over 100 ships throughout the event. The Perseus sub-capital ship, scheduled for release by 2025, could potentially appear at the expo.

Players choosing Microtech as their starting location in Alpha 3.24.3 will have the quickest access to the event. The update is currently available in the PTU for all backers. Both APEX and ZENITH halls will host demonstrations throughout the event’s duration.
