The highly anticipated action game Lost Soul Aside will launch on PlayStation 5 and PC on May 30, 2025, marking the culmination of a remarkable development journey that began with a single developer.

Yang Bing, who started the project alone, has transformed his initial concept into a full production under Ultizero Games with support from PlayStation’s China Hero Project. The game combines fast-paced combat mechanics with a science fiction narrative, featuring protagonist Kesar and his dragon-like companion Arena.

The combat system centers on Kesar’s shape-shifting weapon that allows different fighting styles, from close-range sword combat to ranged attacks. The game emphasizes aerial maneuvers, counter-timing, and combo chains, with Arena providing support abilities during battles.

Technical specifications show the PS5 version will run in 4K resolution with enhanced loading times via the console’s SSD. The DualSense controller integration includes haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that respond to combat actions. PC players will receive a fully optimized version with comparable features.

The standard edition will cost $59.99, while the Digital Deluxe Edition is priced at $69.99. The deluxe version includes additional content: Arena’s golden outfit skin, three weapon fragment skins, two in-game accessories that provide useful boosts, plus a digital soundtrack and artbook. Pre-orders open February 19, 2025, at 10 AM EST on PlayStation Store and 11 AM EST on PC platforms.

Beyond the combat system, the game promises varied environments including sunlit plains, ancient ruins, and alternate dimensions. The narrative follows Kesar’s journey of redemption as he uncovers the truth about his connection with Arena while confronting dimensional threats.

Lost Soul Aside shares its release window with other anticipated titles, including Elden Ring: Nightreign launching on the same day. This timing will test the game’s appeal among action RPG fans looking for new experiences.

Pre-order incentives include Kaser’s original character outfit from early game reveals, starter in-game currency, and healing items for early game progression. These bonuses aim to acknowledge long-time followers who have tracked the game’s development since its initial announcement.

The May 30 release will test whether Lost Soul Aside can deliver on its blend of action RPG mechanics and narrative storytelling, particularly given its extended development period and evolution from an individual project to a PlayStation-backed release.
