What Is Monster Hunter Outlanders?
Monster Hunter Outlanders is an open-world survival game developed by TiMi Studio Group — a subsidiary of Tencent Games — in partnership with Capcom. The game is set on a mysterious island called Aesoland and supports up to four players hunting together in co-op. It keeps the core Monster Hunter loop — accepting quests, hunting large monsters, and crafting new equipment — while adapting the experience for mobile devices.
Players take on the role of an Adventurer. They can build a custom Fated Adventurer or play as one of the story Adventurers they encounter in the game, each with unique weapons and skills. Unlike earlier Monster Hunter mobile titles that focused on simplified or companion-style mechanics, Outlanders targets a full, open-world hunting experience playable on smartphones.
The game was first announced at G-STAR 2024 in November. The first closed beta (CBT1) ran from November 27 to December 4, 2025, restricted to Japan, Canada, and the United States. CBT2 is the next testing phase, with broader language support and expanded content. No official global release date has been confirmed as of this report.

What’s New in CBT2
The second closed beta introduces a range of content not present in the first test. The official press release from TiMi Studio Group confirms the following additions. Tap each item to read the details.
Does Your Device Qualify?
CBT2 has strict hardware requirements. Only selected applicants will receive an invite — but you must meet the minimum device spec to be eligible. Check the official requirements below before registering.
Requirements are as published by TiMi Studio Group. Meeting these specs does not guarantee selection — access is invite-only and limited. Always verify the latest specs at the official Monster Hunter Outlanders website.
How to Register — Four Steps
Registration is handled entirely through the official website. Here is the process, as confirmed by TiMi Studio Group:
Visit the official sign-up page. Go to monsterhunteroutlanders.com. The same page covers both iOS and Android registration.
Complete the pre-registration survey accurately, including your device model. Any mismatch in details may result in losing access to the test if selected.
Watch your inbox. Participants are chosen at random from eligible applicants. Invites will be sent after the April 21 deadline closes. The exact beta test start date is TBA — TiMi Studio Group has confirmed it will be announced through official channels.
Content creators can also apply through a separate creator application on the same official page, open during the same April 1–21 window.
Languages supported in CBT2:
Beta Rewards and Progress
All beta progress is wiped at test end — a full data reset occurs once CBT2 concludes. In-app purchases are also disabled during the test. However, participants earn exclusive in-game rewards redeemable when the full game launches.
