League of Legends’ Patch 25.15 brings significant changes to the game, including a new champion, a major Baron Nashor rework, and system updates that will affect gameplay across all levels.

Yunara, the Unbroken Faith, joins the champion roster as a new Ionian marksman. This ADC relies heavily on her ultimate ability and requires specific items to maximize her damage output. Professional players have noted she currently ranks among the weaker marksmen, trailing behind most other ADCs in sustained damage outside her power windows.

The most substantial change in this patch is the rework of Baron Nashor, removing its in-combat health regeneration (75 per 5 seconds reduced to 0) while adding 100 base HP. This adjustment aims to make Smite timing more consistent during objective fights, as Riot explains: “Baron Nashor has passive health regen, which means his health can tick over your Smite, Consume, Feast, etc. and rob you of an otherwise well-timed kill.”

Tank supports take the hardest hit in Patch 25.15. Alistar and Braum both receive significant 7-point armor nerfs, which Riot acknowledges “may seem drastic.” Both champions have dominated the support meta recently, with Braum maintaining a 51.79% overall win rate according to tracking site op.gg. Rell also sees a reduction to her W shield, weakening her durability.

Other notable champion changes include:

Bel’Veth: Increased passive attack speed at levels 2-18, but decreased Q damage to champions. Riot notes she “was a huge winner of last patch’s Kraken Slayer and Blade of the Ruined King changes.”

Rek’Sai: Receives a significant rework restoring true damage to her E ability while adjusting her ultimate. The changes aim to “nudge her toward a more complete fighter pattern” and improve her late-game crowd control capabilities.

Kled: Gets buffs to his dismounted resistances, providing him with better early game survivability and teamfight performance.

Patch 25.15 introduces a new “Champion Ability Previews” feature across all draft modes and ARAM. This system allows players to preview champion abilities by hovering over portraits during champion select, providing a convenient way to refresh knowledge without leaving the client. Players can toggle this feature off in settings if preferred.

Quality of life improvements extend to ARAM, where the death screen effect has been toned down following player feedback. Riot has “reduced the intensity of both the color and the distortion of the effect so it should no longer be as harsh of a visual shift when you’ve met your demise.”

The Battle of Koeshin meta-game also sees accessibility changes, now allowing players to enter the Courtyard regardless of their progress in the Battle of Koeshin. As Riot explains, “Some of you are lovers and not fighters and we get that.”

ARURF (All Random Ultra Rapid Fire) mode returns on the Spirit Blossom map with the new ARAM card system. Champion balance has been adjusted from previous URF releases.

Bug fixes in this patch address several issues, including fixing Heimerdinger’s grenade damage not causing turret aggro changes, correcting an issue where Axiom Arc was refunding double for Yunara’s ultimate ability, and fixing Yunara’s failure to refresh Hail of Blades stack when her Q or RE would cancel an auto attack.

New skins arriving with this patch include After Hours Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri, Prestige Spirit Blossom Springs Aphelios, Spirit Blossom Springs Sett, Spirit Blossom Springs Teemo, Spirit Blossom Springs Ahri, Spirit Blossom Springs Volibear, and Spirit Blossom Springs Sona, all available July 30th, 2025.

The complete set of changes can be found in Riot’s official patch notes.
