Xbox Game Pass subscribers have plenty to look forward to this July, with the first wave of games bringing a mix of new releases, returning favorites, and day-one launches across multiple tiers of the service.
Headlining Day-One Release
The standout addition this month is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, arriving on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on July 11, the same day as its worldwide release. This highly anticipated remake faithfully rebuilds both classic games from the ground up while adding new skaters, parks, and music.
Game Pass Ultimate subscribers get special perks, including up to three days of early access starting July 8, plus the Doom Slayer and The Revenant as playable characters for those with the Deluxe Edition upgrade.
What’s Coming in July
The July lineup began rolling out on July 1 with Little Nightmares II and Rise of the Tomb Raider (both available on Cloud, Console, and PC across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard).
The schedule continues with:
- July 2: Legend of Mana and Trials of Mana (Console) – now available with Game Pass Standard
- July 3: Ultimate Chicken Horse (Cloud, Console, PC) – available across all tiers
- July 8: The Ascent (Cloud, Console, PC) – returning to the service
- July 9: Minami Lane (Cloud, Console, PC) – available on Ultimate and PC Game Pass
- July 15: High On Life (Cloud, Console, PC) – returning to Game Pass with a sequel confirmed in development
Additionally, the Retro Classics collection expands with Activision titles from the 80s and 90s, including Cosmic Commuter, Heart of China, Skiing, Solar Storm, and Subterranea. This collection has already attracted over one million players since launch.

Games Leaving the Service

- Flock
- Mafia: Definitive Edition (notably departing before Mafia: The Old Country releases)
- Magical Delicacy
- Tchia
- The Callisto Protocol
- The Case of the Golden Idol
Subscribers looking to keep these games can purchase them at a 20% discount before they leave.
Game Pass Tiers and Access
Xbox Game Pass is available in multiple tiers, with prices that were adjusted in 2024:
- Game Pass Ultimate ($19.99/month): Includes day-one releases, the full game library, EA Play, online multiplayer, cloud gaming, and exclusive perks
- PC Game Pass: Focused on PC titles with day-one access
- Game Pass Standard ($14.99/month): Provides access to the game library and online multiplayer but not day-one releases
- Game Pass Core: A more limited library with online multiplayer capabilities
The upcoming additions highlight Microsoft’s continued focus on delivering a mix of anticipated new releases alongside beloved returning titles, maintaining the service’s value proposition even after recent price adjustments.
