Life is Strange: Reunion is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. Developed by Deck Nine Games and published by Square Enix, it is the sixth entry in the Life is Strange series and the official conclusion to Max Caulfield and Chloe Price’s story — eleven years after the original game first launched.
For the first time in the franchise, both Max and Chloe are playable characters in the same game. Max, now a photography teacher at Caledon University, returns from a weekend away to find the campus in flames. Using her Rewind ability, she escapes — but the fire is coming in three days and she cannot stop it alone. Then Chloe arrives, haunted by impossible memories of a life she never lived — a direct result of Max merging timelines in Life is Strange: Double Exposure (2024). The game ships as a complete, non-episodic experience on day one, with an estimated playtime of 10 to 15 hours. Standard edition pricing starts at $40.

Reunion is built for current-generation hardware only. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are not supported — the game’s fire simulation and timeline mechanics required the new platform capabilities.
Three Days. One Campus. Two Chances to Stop the Fire.
Max Caulfield works as a photography teacher at Caledon University. She comes back from a weekend away to find the campus burning — her students, colleagues and friends in immediate danger. Her Rewind power, which lets her reverse time by a few minutes, gets her out. But it cannot prevent what’s already happened.
Her Rewind has also been expanded. Max can now step into Polaroid photographs and re-enter events from those captured moments — enabling what Deck Nine calls four-dimensional puzzles that require manipulating the same space across multiple timeline states. She can also take photographs at any point in the game, not just at fixed hotspots.
Chloe Price shows up unexpectedly. The merging of timelines at the end of Double Exposure brought her back into existence in Max’s world, but not without a cost — she is experiencing nightmares and memories of a life she never actually lived. She needs Max’s help. So does Max.
Together, the two have three in-game days to investigate the cause of the fire. Every conversation, every choice, changes what can be saved — and not everything can be. The full narrative takes approximately 10 to 15 hours to complete.
Voice actor Hannah Telle, who has voiced Max across every mainline entry, confirmed to Square Enix that this is her final performance in the role. Rhianna DeVries returns as Chloe — a role she has held since Life is Strange: Before the Storm (2017).
Max can reverse time by a few minutes, undo decisions, and rework conversations. The expanded version in Reunion also lets her leap into Polaroid photographs to replay events from a captured moment — opening up four-dimensional environmental puzzles.
Chloe’s confrontational style and quick wit let her extract information from suspects and reach areas that Max’s academic standing doesn’t allow. Her Backtalk ability, first introduced in Before the Storm (2017), drives timed dialogue exchanges where word choice determines outcomes.
