NBA 2K27 moved into September to avoid conflict. Games without firm dates — including The Elder Scrolls VI, Fable, and Marvel 1943 — are widely expected to wait for 2027.

GTA 6 will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. A PC release has not been confirmed. Based on Rockstar’s history with GTA 5, the PC version is expected to follow six months to a year after consoles. The game is set in Leonida, a fictional US state based on Florida. The world includes Vice City (based on Miami), Grassrivers (based on the Everglades), the Leonida Keys (based on the Florida Keys), and locations including Ambrosia, Mount Kalaga National Park, and Port Gellhorn. The game features dual protagonists — Lucia Caminos and a male lead widely reported as Jason Duval. The world parodies 2020s American culture, including social media and influencer culture.
A day-one Game Pass release is not expected. Take-Two has historically relied on a full-price premium launch strategy for major releases. GTA 5 appeared in subscription services only several years after its original launch. A post-launch subscription addition remains possible, but the initial release will require a standard purchase. Yes. Strauss Zelnick confirmed directly to media that simultaneous physical and digital launch is the plan for November 19. When asked about a potential staggered physical release, Zelnick’s response was: “That’s not the plan.” Take-Two has confirmed physical editions will be available at launch.
According to Strauss Zelnick, generative AI had no part in what Rockstar built for GTA 6. Zelnick described the world as “handcrafted, built from the ground up, building by building, street by street, neighbourhood by neighbourhood.” The game also won Most Anticipated Game at The Game Awards in both 2024 and 2025.
GTA Online continues to be supported with new content, including a limited-time NBA 2K26 pack for GTA+ members (available through April 20, 2026). GTA+ membership has grown 20% year-over-year. GTA 5 has now sold over 220 million copies globally and continues to generate significant revenue for Take-Two.
