Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s multiplayer mode brings significant changes to the franchise with its November 14 global launch approaching. Treyarch has unveiled an extensive look at the game’s multiplayer features ahead of the upcoming Beta starting October 2.

Players will experience 16 core 6v6 maps and two larger 20v20 Skirmish maps at launch. Six maps will be playable during the Beta period, including Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, and Toshin. Fan favorites from Black Ops 2 are returning, with Express, Hijacked, and Raid making comebacks in updated forms.

The game introduces Overload, a new 6v6 mode where teams fight over a single device that must be carried into enemy territory to score points. The carrier gains a personal radar to detect nearby threats. Traditional modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint will be available during the Beta, with additional modes coming at launch.

Black Ops 7 expands movement mechanics with the Wall Jump system, allowing players to leap between vertical surfaces up to three times in sequence. Tactical Sprint has been removed as a default option and is now only available through the Tac Sprinter perk, addressing community feedback about movement speed.

The loadout system receives a major overhaul with the new Overclock feature that enhances equipment, field upgrades, and scorestreaks during matches. For example, players can upgrade their stun grenades to increase duration or add movement-slowing effects, and modify their trophy systems to destroy more projectiles.
