Sony's latest PS5 update adds two player-requested features: Audio Focus for headphone users and classic PlayStation themes for the home screen.

Audio Focus lets gamers boost specific sounds like footsteps, voices, explosions or quiet background noises for better gaming awareness.

Players can choose from four sound presets with three intensity levels, plus separate left/right ear adjustments for a personalized audio experience.

The Audio Focus feature works only with headphones connected via USB or controller jack, not with TV speakers or soundbars.

Following huge demand during PlayStation's 30th anniversary, classic console themes inspired by PS1, PS2, PS3, and PS4 are now permanent customization options.

All themes can be accessed through the new "Appearance" menu in Settings, making it easy to switch between modern and nostalgic interfaces.

Sony's VP of Product Management confirmed both features were added directly in response to player feedback, with the update rolling out globally starting April 24.
